I am deeply thankful to Hashem that my sister and brother in law, Lauren and Rabbi Dr. Yonah Bardos and their children, who live a few buildings away from the collapsed building, are safe. I am especially grateful that they are on the scene helping with rescue efforts, identification and taking care of the families of those who are injured or unidentified. Rabbi’s Recommendations
1. Frimet Goldberger left the Chassidic community with her husband and two children over a decade ago. She now writes about navigating her familial relationships in light of her lifestyle change, among other fascinating and important topics. The pandemic made things a little more complicated for her- read The Pandemic Tested My Family Relationships. Where Do We Go From Here?
3. This week’s parsha contains Bilaam’s inadvertent blessings of the Jewish people- Bemidbar 24:5- מַה־טֹּ֥בוּ אֹהָלֶ֖יךָ יַעֲקֹ֑ב מִשְׁכְּנֹתֶ֖יךָ יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃ How fair are your tents, O Jacob, Your dwellings, O Israel!
This setting , by the Neginah Orchestra, is one of the best known (track 2).
Sincerely,
